Our Legacy: From the Original Single Biryani to the Handi Feast
In 2006, at our first Narayanguda branch, Mehfil noticed something simple but powerful, students and
young professionals loved our authentic Hyderbadi biryani, but buying daily felt expensive.
So we introduced the Single Chicken Biryani, a generous 700-gram serving at just
₹50. It wasn’t just a plate of food; it became a movement. Within years, every restaurant in
Hyderabad followed, and the Single Biryani became the city’s standard for quality and value.
But our story didn’t stop there. As Hyderabad began celebrating together, we created the
Mehfil Handi Biryani, the same fresh dum biryani, now served for gatherings of
40–50 people, cooked exactly like how our customer's love in dining or takeaway.
Today, the words Single Biryani and Handi Biryani both trace their
roots to Mehfil, a legacy built on serving everyone, without compromise.
